Well we survived Christmas and no one was sick! It was great! As I type this I am dealing with the tail end of the most wicked cold I have experienced in years - good times. Just trying to keep the boys healthy now.
Christmas was great. We thought Charlie would be a lot more aware of what was going on but he is still a little young for that. He left cookies for Santa (that he baked with mommy) and a carrot for Rudolph. He loved his sucker in his stocking in the morning (didn't wake up too early) and then enjoyed opening his gifts. He wanted to play with each gift so we definitely did not need to buy him as much as we did. He loved all his engines which is what he asked Santa for. He got tons of other great stuff from friends and family too. The holidays were spent with family and friends as always. Sam did a great job of hanging out and enjoying the scenary. Next Christmas will be a different story I'm sure.
Not a whole lot new here. We are gearing up for a family trip to Mexico in 11 sleeps. We are going to the Catalonia Yucatan in the Mayan Riviera and are all bouncing off the walls excited. Charlie keeps talking about seeing fish and "girls in bikinis" (thanks to Beth for that one). We are packing the bags now in anticipation and I'm checking my lists 18 times to make sure we don't forget anything important - don't want to deal with Charlie if we forget "ki-ki" - his prized blanket.
Sam is growing like a weed and he is the happiest baby I could imagine. He smiles and coos all day and loves being entertained by his brother even if it involves a little squeeze or bonk! He is pretty much sleeping through the night now - just waking up a couple times to eat. We have a pretty good routine going which is nice - I can actually plan to get out of the house and do groceries.
We bought a new camera just after Christmas and Cam has a new obsession now. I love that he is so into having great pictures of the boys and so far he has not disappointed. I'm excited to see what kind of pictures he can get in Mexico.
Here are some pictures from Christmas and some newer ones of the boys!
Enjoy!
