We had yet another B-day party on the week-end (Nana says Charlie must be 3 now). This one lasted all afternoon/evening and spanned 2 meals. Alicia did a great job on the organization and decorating of the house and the food. Thanks to everyone for coming, dressing up and for all of the great gifts. We were very happy to see Nonna and Grandpa (thanks for the decorations and cakes); Alan, Jill, Hayley and Avery; Auntie Ally and Uncle Scott; Mel, Dave and Kavan; Cherise and Zofia; Jeff, Sara and Rachel; Murph and Karla; Nana and Popa (thanks for dinner) ,Kevin and Melissa and of course, Alicia's girls Beth and Jen!
Late Monday night Nana and Papa arrived home from their Mediterranean cruise so they hosted the Arnold birthday party for Charlie yesterday. This time we celebrated with Auntie Ally, Uncle Scott and Gigi. Although Great Uncle Ian was unable to attend, his soccer ball gift was one of the favorites. Thanks to all for the gifts.
Last night Grandpa and Nonna hosted the first of three birthday parties for Charlie. We had a great dinner and it was good to visit with BizNonna, Gigi and Tony. Thanks to all for the gifts and the great evening.
I took Charlie for a haircut this afternoon. It was his 4th cut but I think it was the first time that they have used the clippers, which he hated. Both him and the hairdresser were crying by the time the work with the clippers was finished and that took all of about 45 seconds. He didn't mind the scissors so the rest went well.
In May of this year we bought a 5th wheel camper. In the summer we spent approximately 40 nights in it and drove quite a few miles. We camped mostly with our good friends the Montgomerys with visits from my parents, Grant and Donna and Alicia's parents Tim and Claudia. We spent time at McRae, Sibbald, Sandbanks and KOA Barrie among other places. We went to Letchworth State Park and Elliot Lake as a family, Wellesley Island State with the Murphy's and the Hodgins (where Charlie went golfing with us three times) and to Killbear Provincial Park with the Heasmans.
